Based on its ratification of two optional protocols to the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the United States makes periodic reports to the U.N. Committee on the Rights of the Child and meets with the Commmittee in Geneva, most recently in May 2017. The Committee has issued its Concluding Observations with respect to U.S. implementation of the Optional Protocol on the Involvement of Children in Armed Conflict (available here), and the Optional Protocol on the Sale of Children, Child Prostitution, and Child Pornography (available here). The U.S. has signed but not ratified the main Convention on the Rights of the Child.
